Northwest Community Credit Union – Bend
Remodel
McKenzie Commercial completed an interior remodel of branch finishes including paint, flooring, casework, restrooms/break room, private office refresh and new office workstations.
The branch remained open during construction which required careful phasing of the schedule, and some temporary accommodations. We moved the teller row to a temporary location and remodeled one restroom at a time.
Working out of town and away from our normal support structure and subcontractors required establishing relationships with new vendors. We are committed to supporting the growth of local communities. In addition, building these new relationships also allows us to lay groundwork for future projects as our customers expand into these areas.
The distance made arranging manpower support more challenging. Just prior to starting the project, City of Bend completely changed its permitting system, which resulted in delays in permitting and inspections while requiring more on-the-fly schedule adjustments and careful phasing. In spite of the delays, we were able to still complete the remodel on time.
