Eugene Science Center
Outdoor Classroom
The Eugene Science Center was built at its current site near Autzen Stadium in 1979. An outdoor classroom was a much-needed addition as interior space is limited and they had found themselves having to turn down field trip requests.
Alongside other community supporters, McKenzie Commercial volunteered labor and materials to help construct a custom exterior wood deck and cover to serve as an outdoor classroom space. When not in use by the Eugene Science Center, this will be open to the community for recreational use. It can be used year-round and features a solar array.
McKenzie Commercial has a long history of partnering with the Eugene Science Center through the years on multiple types of upgrades and improvements through both contracted and volunteer work.
