SELCO COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION
“McKenzie Commercial Contractors has been a longtime trusted partner for nearly all of our facility projects, from renovations to new construction. They were at our side throughout the process, from the inception of an idea through successful completion. Their team was involved in far more than just the construction itself. They contributed countless hours of collaborative discussion, discovered unique solutions to perplexing problems, and with the neighboring businesses they represented our credit union well. Upon completion, McKenzie Commercial once again delivered to us quality and excellence.” – Lisa McCourt, Director of Facilities, SELCO Community Credit Union
SHELTERCARE
“From the initial planning and pricing to the final days of completing the punch list, Todd [Glenz] and his team were enthusiastic, energetic, honest and knowledgeable… As a result of Todd’s successful solicitations for in-kind donations for supplies, materials and labor, the project was completed at no cost to ShelterCare. The work was completed in a timely fashion, and the results are better than we ever imagined.” – Carl Kern, Operations Manager of ShelterCare
OREGON EYE CONSULTANTS
“Thank you, McKenzie Commercial for doing such a great job and providing such outstanding customer service. We have nothing but great things to say about McKenzie Commercial and we recommend your contracting services any opportunity we can. We would like to specifically recognize Jim Mendor and Gary Thompson, who we worked with extensively during the project. Under a very tight deadline, Jim Mendor rose to the occasion to assure that our needs and goals were met throughout the entire planning and construction process. Gary Thompson stood out especially for his hard work and complete dedication for the project.”- Keyhan Aryah, MD, Robert Champer, MD, PhD and John Karth, MD, Physician Owners of Oregon Eye Consultants
“We have been working with McKenzie Commercial since 2015 and recently completed a $6 million expansion and remodel.
From the initial design-build meetings, through all phases of construction, working with their team was an incredibly positive experience. The project itself was unique; a state-of-the-art animal shelter with specialized waste and air-handling systems, as well as custom designed animal holding and medical areas. There was very little that was cookie-cutter, and only a few examples to learn from exist around the country. Throughout the process, their team was professional and competent. The construction phase was smooth and to schedule. Because the project was an expansion and remodel of our existing shelter, we had to remain fully operational during construction. The entire team was sensitive to the needs of our human and animal clients. It was a tremendous pleasure to work with a group of people who demonstrate pride in the work they do, depth of experience, and a genuine commitment to complete a project to the highest standards. They treated our project as a labor of love. Their heartfelt commitment to our project left a lasting impression on all of us doing work on behalf of the animals and on this community that now has one of the best animal shelters in the country.”- Cary Lieberman, Executive Director of Greenhill Humane Society
“I would like to personally thank McKenzie Commercial for the exceptional outcome of the renovated Coburg Road Branch. A lot of obstacles were faced with COVID-19 activity and supply chain challenges. I could not be more pleases with the final product and the professionalism of McKenzie Commercial. Your work on this key project was collaborative at every step and, once again, highlights why we continue to choose McKenzie Commercial for our construction need. You delivered AGAIN, making sure that we stayed on schedule, on budget and on target. Exceptional work!”- Matt Wilson, VP of Risk and Administration of OCCU
“Todd Glenz and his team were professional in all their interactions with our staff, our designer and other contractors… and they managed unanticipated delays well. They worked with our equipment providers in installing a night drop, security system, and safety deposit boxes, and in renovating the existing drive-up window and walk-in vault. They communicated with us weekly… In the end, the project was completed within budget and on time, and we are very satisfied customers.”- Ann Marie Mehlum, President & CEO of Summit Bank
“As a nonprofit, it has been especially important to us to keep costs under control. Mr. [Alan] Reynolds has done this, while ensuring high quality workmanship. “The Central Linn High School Seismic Rehabilitation project was complex due to the nature of the dome roof design. McKenzie Commercial worked side by side with our engineer from WRK Engineers and our architect from BBL to complete the best structure possible. The weekly project meetings were helpful to keep the project on track for completion and within budget. The Project Manager and staff were always quick to notify us with any issues or concerns during construction. McKenzie Commercial was accommodating with construction timelines and supply chain issues all while operating with authentic work ethic. The Project Manager and crew made the construction process not feel so overwhelming. Our project was a success as a result of the joint effort between McKenzie Commercial and Central Linn School District. I would recommend McKenzie Commercial anytime without reservation.” – Celeste Van Cleave, Business Manager, Central Linn School District
MAPLETON SCHOOL DISTRICT
“It was an easy decision to hire McKenzie Commercial to oversee our $11 million bond renovation and seismic upgrade project on Mapleton High School and Mapleton Elementary School. Right from the start, Jim Mender understood our small, rural community and the need to preserve as much of the ‘history’ of our building and facility as possible. Jim and his crew had a wealth of construction knowledge that enabled our projects to be completed on time and under budget. Their ability to foresee issues and plan accordingly, as well as their ability to adjust quickly to unforeseen events, is commendable. Jim and his crew attended several Mapleton sporting events and even attended our Open House to celebrate the ‘reopening’ of our newly remodeled school. That kind of personal commitment is hard to find and it’s refreshing to see!” – Jodi O’Mara, Superintendent, Mapleton School District

“After interviewing contractors to do an extensive remodel of our campus Duck Store, it was clear that McKenzie Commercial was the right company to partner with on this project. Everyone on their team had an amazing amount of work experience and were true professionals. Customer service is extremely important to us and we felt that the team at McKenzie Commercial embodied this value because they treated everyone on the project with respect and kindness. I don’t think there was a day I didn’t see a smile on their faces as they worked in challenging circumstances while our retail operations stayed open 100% during construction.
